Obituary for Bobby Joe "Bob" Shoefstall

Mr. Bobby Joe Shoefstall, age 86, of Sutherland, VA passed on November 19, 2016. He was born in Burkburnett Texas, on September 4, 1930 and was the son of the late Edward and Hattie Shoefstall. Bobby joined the Navy in 1947 and retired in 1968 in San Diego, CA. Moved to New Orleans and worked for Avondale Shipyards for a few years, then moved back to San Diego and went to work for Western Ordnance & Hydraulics until he retired for the second time in 1979 and moved to Trail Oregon where he loved and lived for 20 years. Then he and his wife started a filter cleaning business, sold it in 2000 and relocated to Sutherland, VA to be close to family. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 45 years, Jo Ann Shoefstall; sister, Geneva, and brothers, Bill & Adrian. He is survived by his sisters, Rose Swanson, Peggy Mills and Bobby Jean Hale; daughters, Debbie Foster, Laura Watkins, Donna Pemberton and Barbara Ellerbee. Also surviving are grandchildren, Amanda Wardlaw and Mathew Ellerbee and great-grandson, Jack Wardlaw, V.
