Obituary for Bill Wall

Bill  Wall
Mr. Bill Wall age 77 of South Hill, died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Patricia M. Wall of the home; three daughters, Shannon W. Lambert (Scott) of LaCrosse, Donna W. Worley (David) of Boydton, and Bethany W. Harris of South Hill and five grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, and Nick (Libby) Lambert and Ellianna and Olivia “Oliver” Harris. Mr. Wall was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Hazel Wall; two sisters, Joyce Wright and Betsy Walter and a brother Charles “Chuck” Wall.

Mr. Wall was a retired independent agent with Greyhound, a member of South Hill United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men’s Group. He was also the founder of Midget Football (through the Britnell Foundation) in South Hill bringing football to children throughout the area. He was also the longtime owner/president of Youth Camps, Inc.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2pm, Tuesday, May 23 at Farrar Funeral Home with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 at the home. Memorial considerations in his memory may be sent to the charity of your choice.
