Mr. Allen Richard Wright, age 83 of South Hill, died Monday, October 30, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella Jean Wright and is survived by his son, David Allen Wright (Maria Carroll) and daughter Susan Teresa Wright (Mays Nakashima).

Mr. Wright was a member of American Legion Post 79 in South Hill, the VCU-CMH Hospital Auxiliary, AARP, and NARFE.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Thursday November 2, 2017 at the American Legion Post 79 in South Hill, VA The family request memorial contributions by made to the American Legion Post 70, Honor Guard, P O Box 562, South Hill, VA 23970. Farrar Funeral Home of South Hill is serving the family.
