Obituary for John Burnett "Johnny" Warren

Mr. John Burnett “Johnny” Warren, age 73 of South Hill died at his life-long home on Sunday, July 29, 2018. Johnny was a proud farmer and co-owner/operator of L.G. Warren Store. He honorably served his country in the U. S. Army and was committed to his community. Johnny served on the Mecklenburg County School Board, the Board of Directors for Mecklenburg County Farm Bureau, a member of American Legion Post 79, and a life member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Mr. Warren is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Wells Warren; two sons, Mark Burnett Warren (Emily Baker Warren) of South Hill and John Spencer Warren (Kelly Martin Warren) of Tampa Florida; seven grandchildren, Tucker, Cooper, Reagan, Savannah, Sebastian, Jackson and Maxwell, and a sister, Camilla “Bet” Warren McLean of South Hill. He was preceded in death by his mother, Camilla “Cammie” Burnett Warren; his father, Lindsey G. Warren and brother, William M. Warren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 11am, Wednesday August 1, 2018 at Farrar Funeral Chapel with interment at Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends following the service at Tabernacle Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
