Mr. Donald J.Cappaert, age 89 of South Hill, died Sunday, March 18, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Sue Cappaert of the home; a son, Joe Cappaert of South Hill and daughter, Donna C. Heath (Horace) of Kure Beach, NC. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Kathryn McAden (Kirk) and great grandchildren, Peyton and Maddison McAden.

Mr. Cappaert was a veteran having served in the U S Air Force. He spent many years working in the manufacturing industry with Magnolia Homes before founding Cardinal Homes, Wylliesburg , VA in 1970.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 20th from 11am- 12:30pm at Farrar Funeral Home in South Hill. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm at Crestview Memorial Park, LaCrosse, VA.
