Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Edward Bugg can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Edward Douglas Bugg

Edward Douglas Bugg
Mr Edward Douglas Bugg, age 79 of South Hill died Tuesday, November 17 2015. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne M. Bugg of the home, a son, Edward Douglas Bugg, Jr. (Helen) of Scottsdale AZ, and a daughter, Bonnie Bugg Wilkinson (Billy) of Union Level; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Mac Bugg (Carol) of Chase City and two sisters, Diane B Allen (Jerry) of TN and Grace B Hudson of Raleigh. Mr. Bugg was preceded in death by his parents Robert Henry and Lula McCall Bugg and a brother, Bobby Bugg.

Mr. Bugg worked with Burlington Industries for 20 years, with Farm Credit and retired as Vice President with B & B Consultants. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of South Hill.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2pm, Thursday, November 19 at First Baptist Church in South Hill with interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church. Memorial considerations are asked to be directed to First Christian School, 410 N. Mecklenburg Ave., South Hill, VA 23970.
