Obituary for Lucy Kidd Allgood

Mrs. Lucy Moore Kidd Allgood, age 86 of South Hill, died Monday, October 3, 2016. She is survived by her sons, Harold Bryant Allgood, Jr. of Chesterfield, & Kenneth Moore Allgood (Debra) of Mooresville, NC; four grandchildren, Lauren A. Thompson (Matt), Kristina Allgood, Kyle Allgood, Kara Allgood Rinaldi (Jordan) and two great grandchildren, Aaron and Peyton Thompson. Also surviving is a brother William D. "Buddie" Kidd (Estelle) of Brodnax and three sisters, Elsie Dugger of Brodnax, Polly Piercey of South Hill, and Ina Wilson (Doug) of Midlothian. Mrs. Allgood was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Bryant Allgood, Sr.; brothers, Laurence Kidd, Jr., Joseph W. Kidd, Kenneth K. Kidd and a sister, Elizabeth K. Moseley.

Mrs. Allgood was a retired Insurance Agent/Secretary for Holloway & Elmore Insurance and a member of South Hill United Methodist Church.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2pm, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery in South Hill. The family request memorial considerations be directed to Rock United Methodist Church 75 Rock Church Road Lawrenceville Va 23868. Online condolences may be placed at www.farrarfuneralhome.net.
