Mrs. Carol J. Crough, age 82, of South Hill died Monday, August 8, 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Kerry L (Charles) McCarville of Charlotte, N.C., a devoted niece, Kathleen Rupley Sheppard and her children Andrew and Emily. Also surviving is her beloved cat “Hobo,” and grand dogs, Mikey, Barley & Violet. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F Crough and daughter Kelly Crough.

Carol was a real estate agent with Farrar Auction & Realty, Inc. for more than 22 years. She was member of the South Hill Rotary Club where she served as the treasurer, and a member of All Saints Episcopal Church serving as treasurer of Episcopal Church Women, a Vestry member, a member of the Altar Guild and a licensed Lay Reader & Eucharistic Minister.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11am, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at All Saint’s Episcopal Church in South Hill. The family will receive friends following the service.
